New Content Directions

1. Log-In
2. To edit an existing article, click on the "News" tab and then click on "Latest Happy Trail News". Select the article you want to edit by clicking the small pencil & note icon.
3. To add a new article, click on "Submit News" link from the Home page.
4. NOTE: Only registered users with appropriate permissions will be permitted to change or update articles.
5. When in the edit screen start by typing the Title
6. Then select the Category
7. Type your Article
8. Select the "Publishing Tab" towards the bottom of the screen.
9. Change the "State" to "Published"
10. Check the "Show on front Page" ONLY if you want the article to appear on the Home page, otherwise it will appear on the News page. Note that only two articles can show on the Home (Front) Page. (We can configure it for more if necessary.) The Home page always shows the newest articles first.
11. Click on the Black Diskette icon to save and close the article.

NOTE ABOUT THE FRONTPAGE: If the "Show on Frontpage" box was selected, then your new article will appear as the first article on the homepage- the newest articles go on top. The site is set up for two articles to appear on the front page only. When a new article is outdated, be sure to go in and uncheck the "Show on front Page" checkbox so there will be room for a new article.
