Happy Trail Ministry and Rancho Nicido Libre were able to begin in March with a three day retreat for the boys of Operation Rebirth from St. Paris, OH.

Using the Perelli materials we were able to teach the young men how to identify the personality of different horses.  Each boy was able to identify much of their own personality by watching the tapes as a side benefit.  Several meals were prepared as the boys stayed over 2 nights in the bunkhouse.  Through the leadership of Gene Justice, Bill & Pat Milton, Dale McCloud and other volunteers we were able to have a great time of fellowship, work, and learning.

On May 7 Pastor Dale McCloud was able to begin ministering with the boys and horses of Operation Rebirth on a regular basis.  Twice each month I will travel to the OR Center to work with their two horses - TNT and Patches.  These horses have had little training in the past several years.  The challenge they are offering will test the skills and teaching ability of any horseman.  This is a great opportunity to put into practice the experience of the past year. 

The boys are as challenging as the horses.  With them we deal with the same situation as that of the horses.  They need special care in the areas of trust, respect, and the rest of their lives.  

Pray that this ministry is successful as we work with the horse and the human element to see God bring healing and direction. This ministry will continue two times a month for the summer months.
